FRB Growing Crops, Changing Lives
Food Resource Bank
Once again as spring nears, it is time to think about planting the crops for Foods Resource Bank (FRB). The goal is to engage the grassroots agricultural community in theU.S., along with individuals, churches and urban commun-ities, to grow solutions to hunger problems in our world.
Resources are derived from the sale of donations of agricultural or food commodities through:
- Farmer/Community growing projects
- Gifts of grain from individual farms
- Other church/community fundraising efforts
- Individuals
- Corporations and foundations
- Government agencies
This concept ensures an effective mechanism and structure to provide vital resources to FRB's member organizations and their proven in-country partners. It also educates U.S. citizens on issues of world hunger and re-establishing a connectedness between urban/suburban communities, which has been lost over the last 75 years.
FRB appreciates the donations from our church's
mission funds and the "extra mile" giving held each year for this cause. It helps people in other countries to be self-sustaining, so that they can provide their own food and sell the excess to help raise money to pay for their children's education.
We ask that you consider this important organization during the "extra mile" giving during April and May this year. Thank you for your great support.
