The Christian Education (Youth) Committee provides leadership for the Sunday School Program for children preschool through 12th grade, the Confirmation Class, IVBS (Intergenerational Vacation Bible School), Christmas and special Programs, as well as supporting youth who attend Camp Wyoming and/or other Presbyterian events.   Angie Mathews and Stacie Baccam chair the committee consisting of:  Karen Bates Chabal, Karen Conrad, Ann Klingensmith, Susie Kropa, Joanie Moffett, Mary Murphy, Jennifer Stater, Shelley Van Dorin, and Jenn Roloff (Christian Education/Youth Director).  The CE committee approves funds for students to attend Camp Wyoming and also oversees the Annual Christmas Program.  

Church School Classes for all ages

11:00 a.m. to 12:00 (September - May)

Each Sunday begins with singing,

 sharing on the current stewardship project,

 and a prayer.

 

       Ages 3 and under are supervised in the Nursery.

     

      Four Years through Fifth Graders are using

             the Rotational Church School Model.  They

             study one Bible story for 4-5 weeks.  Each

             week they learn a different part of the
             story in a different learning environment.  

             It's hands on and exciting!  Workshops vary

             from rotation to rotation.  Rotations offered

             are: Bible knowledge, cooking, science,

             drama, art, video, games, music/motion and

             computers. 

 

     Middle School Youth meet to explore their
            faith, learn about the theology, history and polity

            of the Presbyterian Church (USA) as they

            prepare for full membership in the congre-

            gation. The confirmation teachers will help 
            them discern their role in the church and God's

            role in their lives.  Confirmands are received

            into full membership in the spring.

   

    High School  Students meet each week to
         discuss a variety of topics  using different

         mediums and sources.
